Small School - Big Ambitions!

Introduction to our Governors

The role of the school governor is demanding but very rewarding and is a good way to give back to your local community. School governing bodies are responsible for working with the school to ensure that it delivers a good quality education. Together with the headteacher, who is responsible for day-to-day management, they set the school's aims and policies.

Further details about becoming a school governor can be found on the Essex County Council website

Miss L Keeble –  Headteacher Vange Primary School

Prior to my appointment as Head Teacher in September 2016, I had been Deputy Head Teacher at Vange Primary School since February 2012 and worked here as a School Improvement Consultant for three years before that. I am extremely proud to be the 21st Head Teacher of the school, as it has a rich history and the children are wonderful!  My responsibilities in the school are now many and varied but I still enjoy teaching music and singing.  I have two children and have recently become a grandmother for the first time. In my spare time – not that I get much of that! – I lead a choir, read, enjoy taking long walks by the sea and in the countryside and visit places of interest, including museums and art galleries.
