Vange Primary School expects every child to attend school regularly, on time and properly equipped and ready to learn.
We are a small, friendly and caring school with high expectations for every pupil.
Our aim is to create lifelong learners by providing a truly inclusive education within a healthy and safe environment. We strive to promote a respectful atmosphere amongst the school and its wider community.
Through an inspirational and balanced curriculum each child is encouraged, supported and given equal opportunities to reach their potential, enabling them to be fully prepared for life in the future.
We believe that children can only learn effectively if they attend school regularly. It is important too, that children arrive and leave school on time. It is equally important that children should not be at school if they are unwell.

At Vange Primary School we expect all our children to attend at least 96% of the time to achieve good attendance. This is the benchmark set by Ofsted and schools are judged against it on inspections. The Education Welfare Service have published a guide to Learning Hours Lost detailing the impact on learning that poor attendance can have.
